We have hired 150 unemployed people from region
Project Ondava for Life passes smoothly from planning to implementation of the project. At the end of 2014, the project area villages held meetings with unemployed citizens, they were informed about the objectives of our project and employment opportunities in it during the construction of adaptation measures. Interest has been great. Any candidate fills out a medical questionnaire, we have collected over 350 of those.
For field work we could take a maximum of 150 people, whose wages will be reimbursed 95% of public employment programs. A tenderer would therefore have to be registered in databases UPSVaR at least 12 months, in some cases (at lower educational attainment) were sufficient three months only. Gradually we went through the selection process and extensive administrative formalities, and in mid-March were signed 150 contracts of employment for a almost nine months period - until November 2015. Thirty out of 150 new employees are women.
Employees were divided into six working groups, depending on their residence and deployment of the proposed adaptation measures. In the first two weeks of completed several courses on safety, the theoretical basis of adaptation measures and, consequently, on their own field work.
In the next two months will be devoted mainly construction soaking belts, which are projected to be build in length of 10 kilometres .V later stage will be implemented further measures such as water barriers, culverts, pits, mounds, bullets, zippers and others in the territories of 17 cunicipals. While among the employed they are also residents of the communities in which cadastral measures are not implemented, because we wanted to give work to a wide range unemployed in the project area.
